The controller

The information collected by this site is processed by Lawing Tech, which is the controller of that processing. Our full contact details appear below, in the section on exercising your rights, and in the legal notice.

What we collect

This site asks for no account, uses no analytics and embeds no advertising tracker. Outside the contact form, your visit teaches us nothing about you.

When you send the contact form, we collect what you write in it: your name, your email address, the subject and text of your message and, if you provide them, the service concerned and your preferred channel. The language you are reading the site in is attached to the message, and your IP address is recorded at the moment of sending, for the sole technical purpose of preventing abuse of the form.

Where that information goes

Your message is transmitted directly to our own server and stored there. No third-party form service receives, stores or relays it: it travels from this site to us, with no intermediary.

A notification is then emailed to our team so that your enquiry is picked up. Your information is neither sold nor passed to third parties for commercial purposes.

What we do with it

This information is used only to reply to you and to follow up your enquiry. We use it for nothing else.

How long we keep it

We keep your message for as long as it takes to handle and follow up your enquiry, then remove it once it is no longer useful. The IP address recorded with the sending serves only to prevent abuse and follows the same rule.

Your rights

In Benin, the protection of personal data falls under Loi n° 2017-20 du 20 avril 2018 portant code du numérique en République du Bénin. It gives you, over information about you:

• the right of access: to know whether we hold information about you, and what it is;
• the right to rectification: to have inaccurate information corrected;
• the right to object: to object to a particular use of your information;
• the right to erasure: to ask for your information to be deleted.

Exercising those rights

Write to us, call us, or come and see us. We answer within a reasonable time, and we may ask you to clarify a request that is not clear.

Complaining to the APDP

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can refer the matter to the Autorité de Protection des Données à Caractère Personnel (APDP), the Beninese authority responsible for the protection of personal data.
