An All-in-One Device to Simplify Indoor Security Deployments

The Hanwha Vision SPS-A8016 combines a 5MP camera with AI-based video analytics, a 90 dB speaker, beamforming microphones, and a multicolor RGB LED ring in a single housing. According to Security Journal UK, this integration reduces installation complexity by eliminating the need for additional hardware for features like audio communication or visual alerts.

The 5MP sensor uses the Wisenet 9 SoC processor with a Dual NPU architecture, separating video processing and AI analytics resources. This ensures optimal performance for tasks such as object classification (people, faces, vehicles, license plates) or real-time event detection, like falls or line crossings, without latency.

Advanced Features for Proactive and Reactive Security

The SPS-A8016 incorporates commercial intelligence analytics such as people counting, queue management, and thermal mapping, all without additional hardware. These features, detailed by International Security Journal, are particularly useful for environments requiring optimized flow or enhanced behavioral monitoring, such as banks, shopping centers, or healthcare facilities.

On the audio front, the device detects specific sounds via AI-based sound classification, such as screams, broken glass, or extreme noise levels. Bidirectional communication, compatible with VoIP/PBX systems thanks to SIP 2.0 integration, enables real-time interaction with monitored locations, thereby enhancing the responsiveness of security teams.

Certifications and robustness suited to demanding environments

The SPS-A8016 features high-level security certifications, including FIPS 140-3 Level 3 and CC EAL6+, as well as the EN 303 645 standard for IoT cybersecurity, as highlighted by Security Informed. These standards ensure protection against both physical and digital intrusions, which is essential for critical infrastructures. The housing provides IK08 protection against impacts and an integrated anti-tampering switch, ensuring the device’s longevity in harsh conditions.

Installation is done via Wi-Fi Direct through the Wisenet app, simplifying deployment in environments with limited network infrastructure. The system also supports complex event logic and multi-channel alerts (e-mail, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP, MQTT), making it an adaptable solution for organizations’ specific needs.

What this changes here: opportunities for businesses and administrations in West Africa

For businesses and administrations in Benin and West Africa, the SPS-A8016 could represent a key solution to modernize internal security systems without heavy investments in additional hardware. Its compatibility with major VMS platforms like Genetec, Milestone, or Wisenet WAVE would allow seamless integration into existing infrastructures, thereby reducing maintenance and training costs.

Advanced video and audio analytics features, combined with two-way audio communication, could significantly enhance risk management in sectors such as healthcare, finance, or education. For example, hospitals could optimize the monitoring of high-fall-risk patients, while banks or shopping centers would benefit from improved queue control and detection of suspicious behavior. Finally, the reinforced security certifications would meet the growing demands for data and critical infrastructure protection.
